If you have recently taken the commercial registration for your new company, the next step is to apply for a tax card in Qatar. A newly registered company in Qatar has to apply for a tax card within 30 days of getting the commercial registration. Otherwise, you will be imposed with a penalty of QR.20,000 by the Ministry of Finance. Even though the residents of Qatar are free from any income taxes, a corporate tax of 10% of the profit of the foreign investors is made mandatory for all companies operating in Qatar.
